The reality of life and service was in the hearts of all of us in Kansas City this morning as Shawnee firefighter John Glaser was laid to rest. Glaser’s motorcade came by our Overland Park office this morning, and perspective was on display for all of us internalize. Kids waving American flags and people lining the street to pay tribute to a fallen hero should make us all feel grateful for those who daily protect our lives. Glaser went into a burning house to save a man and did not return to his family.
On this Thursday before Memorial Day we need to understand the importance of life and those who make our way of life possible. As this day passes by again this year and we all enjoy our days off, burgers off the grill, and spending time with family; don’t forget to remember those who make our country the envy of the world.
We salute you, John Glaser!
