No. You can schedule a free orthodontic exam directly with Fry Orthodontics without a dentist referral. We can also coordinate with your general dentist when routine dental care or other treatment is needed.
The cost of braces varies based on the complexity of the case, type of braces, expected treatment length, insurance benefits, and payment preferences. During your free exam, the team provides a personalized estimate and reviews available payment options before treatment begins.
Invisalign cost depends on how much tooth movement and bite correction are needed, the expected length of treatment, and available insurance benefits. Your free consultation includes a personalized treatment and cost estimate so you can compare Invisalign with other appropriate options.
Many children benefit from an orthodontic evaluation while adult teeth are still developing. An early exam does not automatically mean braces are needed right away. It allows an orthodontist to evaluate growth, spacing, tooth eruption, and bite development and recommend the right timing if treatment may be helpful.
Treatment length varies because every bite and smile is different. Some patients need relatively limited tooth movement, while others require more extensive bite correction. After evaluating your teeth, your orthodontist can provide a more personalized estimate and will monitor progress throughout treatment.
Yes. Adults can receive orthodontic treatment when their teeth, gums, and supporting bone are healthy enough for tooth movement. Depending on your needs and preferences, metal braces, clear ceramic braces, or Invisalign may be considered.
For many adults, Invisalign can be a convenient way to straighten teeth because the aligners are removable and less noticeable than braces. Whether it is worth choosing depends on your bite, treatment goals, ability to wear aligners consistently, and the type of tooth movement required. An orthodontic exam can help determine whether Invisalign is a good fit for your case.
Both orthodontists and some general dentists can provide Invisalign, but orthodontists complete additional specialty education focused specifically on tooth movement, bite correction, and jaw alignment. Fry Orthodontics is also a Sapphire Invisalign Provider, reflecting substantial experience with clear-aligner treatment that many general dental practices do not achieve. Choosing an orthodontist means your Invisalign plan is overseen by a specialist whose primary focus is orthodontic tooth movement and bite correction.
Your first visit is designed to help you understand your smile and bite. The team listens to your concerns, evaluates tooth alignment and bite relationships, discusses appropriate treatment options, and explains expected treatment timing and cost before you decide whether to begin.
If a bracket, wire, aligner, or other appliance is broken or uncomfortable, contact the Fry Orthodontics team for guidance. Many minor issues can be managed temporarily at home, while some problems may require an office visit. You can also review our orthodontic emergency guidance.
Yes. Retainers help hold teeth in their corrected positions after active orthodontic treatment. Your team will explain when to wear your retainer, how to care for it, and options for protecting your smile long term, including Fry Orthodontics' Digital Retainer Guarantee.
Decades of experience, specialized orthodontic training, and a patient-first approach to healthy, confident smiles.
