Starting September 1, 2017, Dr. Kelly Nguyen will be the primary doctor in our Shawnee and Prairie Village locations. Dr. Kelly has been a welcome addition to our team, bringing both a distinguished academic resume and a joyful enthusiasm for helping create beautiful smiles! In the meantime, Dr. Kelly will still be seeing patients in Ottawa, Atchison, Raytown and Lee’s Summit.
Dr. Kelly was born and raised in Orange County, California where she achieved her degree in Biological Sciences with Honors at the University of California, Irvine. Immediately following graduation, she served her community as a high school educator and assisted children with special needs to acquire everyday life skills. Her previous work experience with young children, adolescents, and adults along with her bright, warm personality makes her a doctor who is easy to connect with. She will listen attentively to your concerns to help you achieve your smile goals.
Dr. Kelly received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree with Honors from Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She was notably awarded the prestigious Chancellor’s award for demonstrating high excellence in scholarship, leadership, community service, integrity, humanity and loyalty to the profession throughout her four years of dental education. She completed her 3 years of advanced postgraduate studies at West Virginia University School of Dentistry where she earned her Master of Science in Orthodontics with Honors. She is currently a member of the American Association of Orthodontists and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Kelly’s mantra is “Live life smiling!” She loves to travel and experience new cultures and foods. She likes to maintain a balanced life through various activities such as road biking, cardio-strength training, snowboarding, attending performing arts events, cooking, reading, doing arts and crafts, and many others. Most important to Dr. Kelly are the people that surround her. She values relationships and enjoy spending time with her family and friends. She loves connecting with new people and is excited to meet you, your family, and your friends.
