Dr. Mary Becker

dr mary beckerWe are excited to announce Dr. Mary Becker has officially decided to join our Fry Orthodontics Team!

Over the last few months, Dr. Becker has had the pleasure of meeting several of you while shadowing Dr. Jeremy Fry. Starting soon, she will be the primary doctor in our Raytown and Lee’s Summit locations. We are honored that Dr. Becker has chosen to work with our practice and confident that she will continue to provide exceptional orthodontic care and outstanding customer service for you and your family.

Dr. Mary Becker is a native Texan who fell in love with Kansas City when she moved here for residency. She was born and raised in Houston, Texas, and graduated from Texas A&M University with Honors before receiving her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston. She held positions in many organizations and was notably awarded the Greater Houston Dental Society Student Scholarship presented annually to one dental student who displays leadership, commitment to community service, and excellent academic standing.

Dr. Becker has a passion for mission work which stemmed from volunteer experiences with the non-profit Amigos de las Américas. Since then, she has spent time in Guatemala, Nicaragua, and Honduras doing dental mission work. Her dedication to service work was recognized when she was awarded the Academy of Dentistry International Student Servant Leadership Award upon graduation from dental school. Her travels have cultivated a love for meeting new people and experiencing new cultures and foods.

She grew up spending much of her time at her parents’ used and rare bookstore and has developed a love for good books. In her spare time she also enjoys bike riding, watching live theater and music, and trying out new coffee shops with her fiancé Joe.
